He's History's most famous person, but so many people don't know the whole story.
The Good News
God's Original Intention
In the beginning God created a perfect world with no sin, no death, no pain, and no suffering. God didn't just make nature itself, but he placed within creation, human beings to which he could have an unbroken, eternal relationship! It was God's plan from the beginning for us to live in peace and harmony within his beautiful creation forever!

Humanity's Fall and the Promised Messiah
God placed the first humans, Adam and Eve, in a beautiful paradise and blessed them! In this paradise there were many fruit bearing trees they were able to eat, but God commanded them not to eat from one particular tree. The consequences of their disobedience was death and eternal separation from relationship with God. Our first ancestors disobeyed God's command and the perfect creation God had made became cursed and sin brought death and suffering to all. God did not leave people without hope. He had promised them a savior that would redeem them all!

The Just Consequences for Sin
God is holy and just and requires perfect obedience from all people and will justly deal out punishment to those who have broken his laws. We can seem like good people to each other, but because we have broken his laws, we are guilty! And because we are guilty, we are deserving of the just punishment, death and eternal separation from God. The Bible declares in Romans 6:23 that the wages of sin is death! It also declares in Romans 3:23 that all have sinned! This means we are all guilty and will face the just punishment for our sins.

The Ultimate Sacrifice of the Savior
The Bible declares in Romans 5:8, that despite of our sin, God still loved us! He sent his one and only son, Jesus Christ to satisfy the just consequences of our sins. Jesus came to this world, walked as a human being, and never sinned! He did not deserve the just consequences for our sins, but because of his great love for us, he willingly died on a cross to pay the price we could never pay! On that cross, Jesus declared, "It is finished" and just like that the price was paid and the way was opened to us to have a restored relationship with God through Jesus Christ!

Jesus is Victorious!
Jesus may have died on the cross 2,000 years ago. But his story does not end there! Three days after he died, he rose from the dead! Through this miraculous act, Jesus did not only prove his power over sin, but also his power over death! The Bible says that everything has been placed under Jesus' authority and that by having faith in Him we can be saved from the power of sin and its consequence, death! Those who believe in Jesus will die one day, but will then awaken to an eternal reward with God forever in heaven!

Writing a new story...
To be saved, we must surrender to God and His Lordship over our lives.
It is a turning from our old ways and turning to Jesus. When we repent of our sins, He gives us new life.
Romans 10:9 says: “If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Salvation is God’s free gift to us and we become His children. It is an irrevocable acceptance into the family of God and it is an empowerment to live life wholly and fully with the purpose of reflecting God to the rest of His creation. If you are not sure whether you are right with God or you know in fact that you need Jesus in your life, you can choose to follow Him right now by praying a prayer of surrender to Him.
Dear God, I’m praying this prayer because I know that I have done wrong by living contrary to your Word. I am sorry and I trust that You will forgive me. I accept Your love and grace for me and ask that You would be my Lord. Help me believe in You and love You every day, and help me to show the world what You are like and how great Your love is. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Congratulations! To pray these words with a surrendered heart to Jesus is the beginning of the most important journey you will ever embark on: the journey to follow Jesus. Please let us know if you’ve just made a commitment to Jesus and prayed this prayer by clicking the button below.
